Introducing Aspen Integrated Health Education Workshops

Community In-Person Workshop in Carbondale, CO

Friends! It feels like a long time coming…and I’m so excited to teach my first in-person health education workshop for the Kula Yoga and Roaring Fork Valley community since the start of the pandemic. And I know we’re all ready for it! I’ll be teaching a toolkit you won’t find anywhere else plus a stellar workshop that’ll change the way you navigate stress and approach life’s challenges. You’ll learn tools that are down-to-earth, easy to implement and have profound and lasting results. You’ll also discover how to integrate them seamlessly into your day-to-day life.

The Calm Kit Foundations Workshop

This is a health education workshop teaching the foundations of self-regulation. What is self-regulation? It’s using strategic techniques that move your body (hi there nervous system!) toward integration. When integrated you have access to your best mind, enabling you to feel profoundly contented, balanced, and confident that you can navigate the highs and lows of life with skill, and show up as your best self more of the time.

The Calm Kit: tools to find calm, build resilience and better navigate the stressors of modern life. I’ll guide you through an easy-to-learn toolkit that’ll help you deactivate your stress response, replenish your energy reserves, refresh your mind and feel more balanced in your day. Your work, life, family, and community need you profoundly grounded, thriving mentally and emotionally and operating from a deep place of clarity and connection.

What to expect

Human beings can do amazing things with effective information, top notch experiential education and a connected approach. This will be an inviting and accessible 2-hour workshop expertly designed to bring health to your mind and body. Taught in a yoga studio, we’ll be moving, writing, learning and practicing the Calm Kit in a highly interactive approach. Expect a wide range of practices- time to listen and learn, time to write and reflect, and time to move your body and practice the somatic based tools that’ll transform the way you relate to your inner and outer world.

All of the tools are easy to learn and highly accessible to all people and bodies. There will be a movement portion of the workshop to help release tension from the body and prepare your mind for learning. Movements will range from restorative and gentle to more moderately paced. All fitness levels are welcome and no prior yoga experience is required. Come as you are with an open mind and curious attitude!

What to bring

Dress in loose, comfortable clothing that you can move and sit on the floor in comfortably. Bring a yoga mat, notebook, something to write with, a water bottle and anything else you need to learn optimally in an interactive workshop environment. Hosted in a yoga studio, we’ll be seated on the floor. Blocks and blankets are available for your comfort but also feel free to bring any other low-to-the ground seating support you’d like.
